Testimonials
My name is Steve. I'm 45 years old. I have been on crack for 18 years. I spent the last year living on the streets of Seattle addicted to crack and heroin. One day last November (2005), I was sick from drug withdrawals. (continued on Testimonials Page)

Program Stages

Orientation Period
(7 to 8 to Weeks)

Orientation is a 7-8 week process, which begins immediately following an applicant's successful completion of the intake interview. This gives the applicant a firsthand look at who we are and how we operate. We, in turn, make our own evaluations to see if the man truly wants help. If so, are we the best qualified to give him help or should we refer him elsewhere? In successfully completing the Orientation process, the individual will have an understanding of the WayPoint program and will have completed a personal contract in which he states specifically achievable goals he intends to reach before leaving WayPoint Center.

Regeneration
(6 to 10 Weeks)

This second phase consists of intensive study in three areas:

1. Mental, emotional and physical aspects of addiction.

2. Treatment of drug and alcohol addiction.

3. Recovery and aftercare.

Homework, individual counseling, classroom teaching, and small groups are methods used to make everything we teach as personal as possible.

Inner Healing
(10 Weeks)

In this third phase, each man learns that God cannot change his present condition unless he is willing to let go of the past. He learns that forgiveness is the key to mental health and that the cross is the focal point for all forgiveness. He learns that the key to inner healing is the application of the Gospel in his life.

Discipleship
(10 Weeks)

In this fourth phase, each man learns that Christianity is a walk of faith. He also continues to learn to let God's will guide, direct and protect him. He learns to overcome the world by allowing Jesus to overcome the world in him.

In this class, men learn to apply what they have gained while in the program. We place each man in a small group...what we call a "flock." Each student is given oversight for his particular "flock."

As Flock Leader, he learns to care for others and give back what has been given him. This has proven to be a great time in a man's recovery as he learns to see that his life has more purpose than ever thought before coming to stay here at WayPoint Center.
