“I met Kerri Johnson, the Chairman, of Waypoint Ministries and a number of the Waypoint graduates in a class for Inner Healing. I fell in love with Kerri and the guys from Waypoint. I sensed something very special about them and wanted to know more about the program they were involved in. This precipitated an invitation onto the board of directors. Since this time, I have had the honor and privilege of spending time with the Waypoint Ministry leadership and the men currently enrolled at Waypoint.
This program is something amazing and very, very special. Waypoint is a representation of how the early church of Acts must have functioned, living as a body, speaking truth and love, in and through Christ. I want what these guys have in my own life. May God continue to bless the men, staff and community of Waypoint Ministries.”

Jack Welch was born and reared in Forsyth County, Georgia. He earned degrees from Young Harris College (Associates) and University of Georgia (Bachelors). He has been married to Lillian for over 45 years, and their sons and daughters-in-law have blessed them with four grandsons and one granddaughter. Jack and Lillian live in Murrayville and are active members of Lakewood Baptist Church.
Jack was co-owner and President of Custom Home Center in Cumming, and co-owner of a construction and remodeling company for over 30 years. He is now retired.
After a mission trip to Jamaica in 2007 Jack felt called to make a difference in his home area doing ministry work and became aware of Waypoint as he visited the thrift store for ministry needs. He realized there was something special happening in the lives of the men he encountered there, and saw the hand of God on them as they evolved into stronger men, independent of addictions.
In recent years he has felt a calling to become more involved with Waypoint and in the lives of the men he observes being healed from their addictions by God’s intervention. Jack joined the Waypoint Board in 2016 after eight years of volunteering there.
